Current Projects:

  • Document best refugee practices that will profile key case studies within the different African regions to learn from specific interventions by churches and Christian organizations supporting refugees on the highway. We also will be developing a refugee data base to assist in the revision of the Africa refugee highway map, identify experiences or existing church practices, and locating potential regional response teams or individual interest groups.
  • In conjunction with the WEA Information Technology Commission, create an Africa RHP web-page on the Association of Evangelical in Africa website to assist in the mobilization of the church on refugee.
  • We will also continue to pay particular attention to the refugee crisis in Chad/Darfur region, returning refugees in Sudan and Internally Displaced Peoples in Northern Uganda, as well as monitoring the situation in Southern Africa.
